About Us

We started our little book club in March of 2013 and have been going strong ever since. We are located in the beautiful Languedoc-Roussillon region of France, and we meet once a month in members' homes or a café to talk about books, or series episodes, munch on French goodies, and drink thea and other fine things. Our group includes people from all over the world, and we read in all genres, mostly fiction but sometimes non-fiction as well. Books or series are suggested by members, and we vote on them to make our final choices.

We read books and watch series that are available in English and French, but our discussion questions are in English, and the conversation is mostly conducted in English. It doesn't matter if your English isn't perfect; we welcome anyone, even those who are just learning to speak the language.

We meet every third Sunday of each month at 5pm. Bring a snack, drinks will be served. We take turns to host the meeting. The host provides the drinks and the guests the snacks.Addresses are given by email.Here are our few simple rules, for the rest it's all fun !

March and April meeting info

We had a great meeting in February.  There was lots to talk about with the book Defending Jacob and of course lots of great food brought by the members to share. I held a vote to pick our next book and got only three responses (boo).  The Great Gastby or Gatsby le magnifique came up as the winner.  Yay!
